949 Racing 6UL wheel Limited Warranty
The 6UL wheel is guaranteed to be free of structural, materials or workmanship defects for a period of 3 (three) years from date of purchase. This warranty is valid until the size, offset and PCD variant being submitted for warrranty is discontinued and no longer available or two years from date of purchase, whichever comes first. 949 Racing is not liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense either consequential or incidental, from the use of this product. 949 Racing assumes no responsibility for any losses, costs or extra expenses as a result of a defective item or the return for warranty determination of said item. Example: tire dismounting, rebalancing, shipping, alignment, etc. This warranty is extended only to the original owner with retail purchase documentation and is not transferable.
Motorsports is an inherently dangerous sport with significant risk of personal injury or even death. When a user participates in vehicle racing, track events, performance motoring and or other motorsports events, he or she accepts the risk inherent therein. 949 Racing, its employees, and affiliates make no warranty that the use of its products or parts guarantees personal safety or freedom from physical injury or operates as a life saving device. 949 Racing disclaims all liability for any special, direct, incidental or consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, the loss of life or limb, or damages due to bodily or personal injury, which may arise or result.
If you have a materials, workmanship concern within the first year after purchase, return product to 949 Racing for warranty determination. Shipping from customer to 949 Racing is customer's sole responsibilty. If the product is found to be defective under the terms of this warranty, it is at the sole discretion of 949 Racing to replace or credit the wheel. If wheel is found to be covered under warranty, 949 Racing will cover shipping charges back to customer. Otherwise, customer is responsible for shipping both ways. Wheels returned for warranty submission become sole property of 949 Racing. It is in 949 Racing's sole discretion to destroy a returned wheel if it is deemed unserviceable, whether covered under the terms of this warranty or not.
Sphericity, concentricity, axial/redial runout "Roundness"
Axial and radial runout spec for a new 6UL is .040"/1mm measured at the bead seat. If you believe your new 6UL may be out of round, perform this test: Remove tire. Mount wheel on balancer and tighten lock nut. Spin wheel by hand and either observe or measure with dial indicator. Reports of out of round wheels are invariably due to a tire seating unevenly. The customer sees the tread wobbling and assumes it is the wheel. Before we can accept a wheel back for out of round, an 8-12 second smartphone video with the wheel only on a balancer must be emailed back to us. If the wheel has been mounted onto a car, the warranty for roundness becomes void.
- Buyer responsible for fit. No returns once tires are mounted
- No coverage for cosmetic defects or shipping damage once tires are mounted or wheels mounted on car. Inspect your wheels first!
Examples of non-warranteeable conditions:
- Powder Coating any portion of the wheel
- Bends of any kind
- Cracks or breakage due to direct impact on wheel
- Corrosion or damage to finish due to excessive brake dust deposits
- Corrosion or damage to finish due to improper or excessively harsh cleaning agents
- Corrosion or damage to finish due to road salt
- Damage to wheel from improper tire mounting
- Damage to wheel due to driving with un-inflated tire
- Any modification, alteration or repair of wheel
- Use on any application exceeding 6UL max load as stated on wheel
- Use on any application other than a 4 wheel automobile
- Use on any surface other than paved roads
- Damage due to improper torque on lugs nuts (70-85 ft-lbs)
- Damage due to use of incorrect lug nut/bolt type
- Stunt driving involving jumping the vehicle off the ground
- Any timed motorsports event
- Any HPDE, driving school or open track event
- Damage due to fitment on studs larger than 12mm diameter
- Damage due to over-inflation of tire (>51psi)
- Damage or failure resulting from bead or sand blasting for paint removal
Service Life
All aluminum wheels used in competition have a finite service life. It is important to check the wheels for cracks before every competition or track day. Any brand of light weight alloy wheel may crack after several years of track use with race compound tires, kerb hits or dropping a tire off the track edge. If you find cracks in any aluminum race wheel, it must be removed from service and destroyed. We recommend drilling a large hole in the outer rim to make sure no one else uses a cracked wheel. Failure to regularly inspect your wheels may result injury or death.
All 949 Racing wheels are designed, engineered and intended for use under rigorous conditions. As competition or trackdays are inherently prone to causing vehicle damage, such use is not covered by any warranty express or implied for any 949 Racing product. Use of 949 Racing wheels or any other product sold or distributed by 949 Racing is done at your own risk. 949 Racing assumes no liabilities for injury, death or loss of property as a result of using a 949 Racing branded or sold product under any usage conditions, including competition, autocross, drifting, time trial, HPDE, or track days.

Item is guaranteed to be free of structural, materials or workmanship defects as delivered. 949Racing is not liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense either consequential or incidental, from the use of this item. 949 Racing assumes no responsibility for any losses, costs or expenses as a result of a defective item or the return for warranty determination of said item. Example: Shop labor, shipping, transportation, vehicle rentals, entry fees, etc.
Because racing is a dangerous sport, the buyer assumes all risk and liability whatsoever resulting from the use of said item(s).

Conditions which void warranty on 949 Racing branded items (non wheels):
- Improper installation
- Damage to item due to incompatibility with other non OEM parts
- Cracks or breakage due to direct impact or crash damage
- Cracks or breakage due to powder coating related annealing
- Corrosion or damage to exposure to elements
- Corrosion or damage to finish due to improper or excessively harsh cleaning agents
- Corrosion or damage to finish due to road salt
- Damage to or failure of item from installation with incorrect tools
- Damage or failure of item from improper tuning or adjustment
- Damage or failure of item due to interference with other non OEM component
- Any modification, alteration or repair of item
- Use on any purpose other than stated for item
- Use on any vehicle other than that stated for item
Customers with warranty submittal items that have manufacturer direct warranty support will be referred back to that manufacturer. All non-949 Racing brand items are subject solely to their respective manufacturers warranty policy if one exists.
Return Policy
Non-Returnable Items
Wheels can not be returned. Items can not be returned after 30 days. Special order items such as custom valved shocks or any other non-stocking item are not returnable. Items totaling $20 or less per part number per invoice are non-returnable. If the buyer needs to be able to return an item at their discretion, it is the buyers responsibility to ask for the specific return policies on that item before purchasing.
Returnable Items
All other regular stocking items purchased from 949 Racing (except wheels) can be returned within 30 days of purchase if the following conditions are met:
- Customer first contacts 949 Racing for RGA (Return Goods Authorization)
- Item is unused, unaltered, complete and in original packing
- No seals on original packaging are altered in any way
- All original packing is perfectly clean and intact
- Items will be restocked then refund processed less $10 or 10% restocking fee, whichever is greater
- Payments subject to merchant card processing fee
- Shipping is not refunded
- Items purchased with free shipping will have the equivalent shipping charge deducted from the refund
Buyer is responsible for all shipping and insurance costs for returned items. Items returned uninsured and subsequently damaged in shipping are the sole responsibility of the shipper (buyer). 949 Racing reserves the right to refuse a returned item if any of these conditions are not met.
All customers outside of the 48 lower United States
All customers outside of the 48 lower United States must pay for shipping for any returned items regardless of warranty determination. If wheel is determined to be covered under warranty, a free replacement(s) or refund will be offered at 949 Racing's sole discretion. Original shipping will not be refunded. Shipping costs for replacement(s) are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
Order Cancellation Policy
Orders for items that have not shipped may be canceled at within 59 days of order date for a full refund. Cancellation requests beyond 59 days of order date will have 2.5% bank transaction fee deducted from refund.
